The H2 database is a Java-based relational database which can be used as a stand-alone local database and is provided as the default option with the Taxonomic Editor.

The following sections describe the steps to connect to and use the H2 database within the Taxonomic Editor.

Taxonomic Editor Installation

  1. Download the packaged Editor from http://wp5.e-taxonomy.eu/download/taxeditor/stable/ (depending on the OS and 32bit/64bit option)

  2. Unzip the package and launch (double-click) the executable named 'TaxonomicEditor' in the extracted directory.

H2 Database Usage

By default the Editor will connect to the H2 Database
