The .xmi is now stored within the instance so we do not need the one in .cdmLibrary anymore

I do not remember why we created this ticket. Is it really that important to remove the file because it is completely ignored anyways?

There where glitches with the views that where restored from previous executions of the Taxeditor. Deleting the workbench.xmi manually was the recommended remedy these days.

I guess its not very important at the moment to clean up the left over workbench.xmi since the views are no longer restored at all. This at least what I heard of. This ticket will gain more importance gain once this feature is coming back.

Yes, I remember something similar. Patrick, you probably know best what the workbench.xmi is, was or will be needed for. So you may decide if this might become an issue in future again.
If not we can close the ticket as rejected.

Closing this as rejected as this file in this location does not serve any purpose anymore

Sorry for stubbornly poking again into this. But the questions that Andreas M and K raised are not clearly answered. The workbench.xmi is still used by eclipse and I suppose that is will be used again if we once decide to save the workbench state again. Has this feature be abandoned evermore?

While working on that we decided to move the file to the Editor install folder so that each installation has its own state stored in this file. The workbench.xmi of this ticket is the one in the .cdmlibrary folder. This location should not be used anymore.
