List of available software sites gets overwritten when updating product

This problem is due to the fact that the RepositoryManipulationPage which handles the list of p2 repositories does not create a preference store which means that the list is infact not saved in the preferences.
The ideal solution would be to extend the RepositoryManipulationPage to handle the saving of the repositories and replace the existing page.
But for the moment (due to time constraints), I have added a simple saving mechanism (r21834) which is triggered on shut down of the editor.
