Description
Article 44.2 "A name of a new taxon of non-fossil algae of specific or lower rank ... is not validly published unless it is accompanied by an illustration or figure ... or by a reference to a previously and effectively published such illustration or figure"
Two possibilities to handle this problem:
1) include plates and figures in the full reference as part of the reference detail (as is in AlgaTerra BM & CDM)
Example: Achnanthes jan-marcinii Witkowski, Metzeltin & Lange-Bert. in Iconogr. Diatomol. 4: 12-13, pl. 50: fig. 5-9, 22-23, pl. 75: fig. 4, 9. 1996.
2) include figures in an extra field like "Illustration(s) according to Art. 44.2" as string.
