Data Transfer Objects

CDM Data Transfer Objects (DTO) are coarse grained objects that aggregate quite a bit of finer grained domain objects into a single, clearly delimited object that can be serialised and transmitted over the wire. It is better suited for remote calls than the domain objects themselves because it contains most data needed in a single response - while CDM domain objects would have to be called many times.

DTO Definitions

DTOs are being designed in Java in the eu.etaxonomy.cdm.remote.dto package
