Redmine bug #9248 (New): ABCD import configuration is not fail save for creation of new classificationhttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/92482020-10-12T11:02:02ZKatja Luther

When licking on "do not create new classification for new taxa" but missing to define the classification for adding the new taxa, a new classification is created for new taxa.

bug #8817 (New): abcd import gathering date contains T00:00:00 when time is missinghttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/88172020-01-20T13:25:45ZKatja Luther

The string comes from biocase and the parser is not able to parse it.
This time information is wrong, this should be fixed in biocase but as a workaround we can remove it in the cdm parser.

bug #8601 (Feedback): checkbox lists in preferences - button to expand, collapse, ... not funct...https://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/86012019-10-17T15:25:49ZAndreas Kohlbecker

The button row on top of checkbox lists (Available Languages, Features) are not functional:

Hide them if there are plans to make them functional in the future otherwise they should be removed.

bug #8586 (New): Feature checkbox lists in perferences can neither be modified nor be scrolled https://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/85862019-10-11T10:15:26ZAndreas Kohlbecker

It is not possible to change the state or to scroll the list of checkbox items in the settings for Features, Languages

Tested in KDE 5.16.5

GTK2 Themes Breeze and Raleigh

GTK3 Themes Breeze and Emacs

So it seems not to be a problem with in GTK or the theme.

Scroll Problem:

The solution to this seems to scroll the whole preference panel instead of the checkbox list itself. In the eclipse preferences it is throughout implemented like this. See for example General -> Startup and Shutdown, Java -> Debug -> step filters

bug #8443 (New): a user with only rights on a subtree can edit taxa and names of another subtreehttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/84432019-08-05T10:14:44ZKatja Luther

the user with rights on a subtree is able to edit taxa outside the defined subtree. The only limitation is creation and deleting of nodes.

feature request #7863 (New): /homotypicGroup/{uuid}/homotypicGroupTypeDesignationsDTO webservice ...https://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/78632018-10-24T13:22:53ZAndreas Kohlbecker

bug #7167 (New): dwca-export-controller documentation issueshttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/71672018-01-11T15:00:21ZAndreas Kohlbecker

the contoller method exportGetExplanation() which is mapped to
/dwca
returns an html page which will in future contain the documentation of the webservice. The documentation however is in general produced through swagger. Therefore this method seems to be a concurrent approach to produce webservice documentation. I advocate for removing this method and to add proper swagger annotations where needed.

swagger annotations are at least need for all request parameters of the type
UuidList
. All these appear as
List<String>
in swagger, so the user does not know what to pass to the web service.

Passing an invalid uuid as
classification
causes a Error 400 Bad Request with no further information on the cause, better error reporting is neede here

bug #7034 (New): 4 busy database connections after application starthttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/70342017-10-25T14:06:18ZAndreas Kohlbecker

After a cdmlib-remote instance has started the c3p0 connections pool holds 4 open connections which are reported as being busy.

During the application start these connections are apparently not being closed correcty

Current state: 3 open connections

feature request #7004 (New): Adapt save option in specimen hierarchy editor to bulk editorhttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/70042017-10-04T09:34:21ZPatrick Plitzner

Andreas:

Originally reported by Ben Stöver. Had problems when creating a new database from within the taxeditor on a windows machine. Specific to this OS setup is that the user.home is on a network drive which was causing the problems described in #5848, which are most probably not related to the problem which is the subject here:

When creating a new database on C the following error occurred a number of times: "ERROR [org.hibernate.tool.hbm2ddl.SchemaExport] - Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes".

bug #6217 (New): Adapt colour mapping in dataportalshttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/62172016-11-24T10:06:50ZAndreas Müller

Currently there is the possibility to adapt the color of a PresenceAbsenceTerm in a distribution map by using the according experimental feature.

There are 2 issues about it:

Currently it uses idInVocabulary, which is not necessarily a unique attribute. We should switch to uuid. Even if this is not easy to read for humans, it is exact. As this feature should be used only for exceptional cases (e.g. multiple data portals on one database) this is acceptable.

The documentation needs to be updated. It should be clearly stated that this feature should be used ONLY if the defaultColor attribute of PresenceAbsenceTerm can not be used. Also the given abbreviations for the terms should be removed as they are partly wrong now (since last model update) and should not be used anymore (see above)

feature request #4118 (Feedback): @NotPartOf Annotation to exclude properties from the permission...https://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/41182014-03-12T12:04:31ZAndreas Kohlbecker

successor ticket to #4081 (TaxonNodeServiceImpl.makeTaxonNodeASynonymOfAnotherTaxonNode() requires TAXONNAMEBASE.[UPDATE])

The
CdmSecurityHibernateInterceptor
has a map which defines properties per type that will be excluded from the permission validation. We need new Annotation
@NotPartOf
to populate this map in a dynamic way. This annotation will indicate that the annotated property is not a crucial part of the type and that this property should be excluded from the permission validation

task #578 (In Progress): @Ignore removed from PersistentTermInitializerTesthttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/5782009-02-05T10:57:22ZAndreas Müller

Hi Ben,

Yes probably you right. I didn't really go into the PersistentTermInitializerTest problem but tried it within eclipse with the new override.properties and it worked whereas in maven it doesn't

Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.hibernate.collection.PersistentSet cannot be cast to java.util.SortedSet

Betreff: RE: [dev-cdmlib] I want to commit some major changes to cdmlib term loading, please could you confirm that this is ok?

Hi Andreas,

For PersistentTermInitializerTest I had to create a new override.properties because for this test it looks like > we need term initializing. Or do I think the wrong way here?

I'm not sure what to do about PersistentTermInitializerTest, really, as running it side-by-side with the other tests (which use testing term initializer) results in some issues. I think disabling it using override.properties simply checks against the terms initialized by TestingTermInitializer, not actually testing the PersistentTermInitializer at all.

I just @Ignore -ed it, not a perfect solution, but the whole term initialization scenario is quite complex and I couldn't think of a better idea. Running the other tests properly is more of a priority, I think.

Cheers,
