Redmine feature request #7517 (New): Make search parameters like wildcards configurablehttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/75172018-06-27T07:47:33ZAndreas Müller

For edaphobase users are used to use whitespace as wildcard.

We should make search parameters project and/or client configurable.

Possible parameters are:

handle whitespace as wildcard

add wildcard at end of search string (MatchMode "Beginning")

add wildcard at start of search string

mask %

case sensitivity

...

HINT:

Consider using
eu.etaxonomy.cdm.persistence.dao.common.Restriction<T extends Object>
instead of criteria in case wildcards need to be supported for arbitrary fields and related entities.

CdmEntityDaoBase.list(Class<? extends T> type, List<Restriction<?>> restrictions, Integer limit, Integer start, List<OrderHint> orderHints, List<String> propertyPaths)
may serve you as an example for using the
Restriction
s.

feature request #7508 (Closed): Add language information to term representationshttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/75082018-06-22T09:30:11ZAndreas Müller

Currently it is not possible to retrieve information which language a representation belongs to.

[Andreas Müller wrote in email conversation]

feature request #7413 (Closed): Make in-Authors editable in TaxEditor for zoological and fungi nameshttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/74132018-05-14T13:36:02ZAndreas Müller

This includes inCombinationAuthor and inBasionymAuthor (but call the later "original name author" or so, as basionym does not exist in zoology)

feature request #7308 (Closed): Add nomen oblitum to zoological taxon name statushttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/73082018-03-09T18:48:58ZAndreas Müller

see ICZN Art. 23.9 http://www.nhm.ac.uk/hosted-sites/iczn/code/includes/page.jsp?article=23&nfv=#9

feature request #6943 (Closed): Allow zoological in-Authors in taxon nameshttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/69432017-09-13T08:25:30ZAndreas Müller

The zoological code (http://www.nhm.ac.uk/hosted-sites/iczn/code/) allows citation of contributions authors as "A in B".

"Recommendation 51E. Citation of contributors. If a scientific name and the conditions other than publication that make it available [Arts. 10 to 20] are the responsibility not of the author of the work containing them, but of some other person(s), or of less than all of joint authors, the authorship of the name, if cited, should be stated as "B in A", or "B in A & B", or in whatever form is appropriate to facilitate information retrieval (normally the date should also be cited)."

Currently this can only be handled in the AbbrevTitleCache of the author with an extra record for this author that contains both information. Alternatively we could have an extra field for the "in" author for zoological taxon names. Or maybe even 2 such fields for combination author and original author.

Examples for this were first observed in edaphobase.

Was meint ihr hier genau: z.Zt. wird z.B. „Lumbricidae Rafinesque-Schmaltz, 1815 sec. Edaphobase“ ausgegeben.

bug #6071 (Closed): Handle Taxonomische Großgruppen correctly in Edaphobasehttps://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/redmine/issues/60712016-09-12T15:00:53ZAndreas Müller
