This Milestone combines several Milestones from the original project description.

Task 1: Registration System and Taxonomic Index to Algal Names - modeling and system design (I-1 – I-3)¶

• Milestone 1.1: Revised and documented data model for the Registration System (I-1)
• Milestone 1.2: GUID scheme(s) decided. (I-1)
• Milestone 1.3: documented data model for the Algal Names Index. (I-2)
• Milestone 1.4.1: Final workflow model and documentation for the Registration System (I-2)
• Milestone 1.4.2: Final workflow model and documentation for the Index (I-3)

Task 2: Scientific data evaluation, curation and quality assessment (I-1 – III-4)¶

• Milestone 2.1.1 Documentation of T 2.1 (IAPT prototype) available in the project wiki (I-1)
• Milestone 2.1.2 Algal names data from IAPT Pilot Database prepared for data import into the new Registration System (I-3)
• Milestone 2.2 Documentation of T 2.2 (External data.) available in the project wiki (I-1)

Task 3: Implementation of the Registration System for Algal Names and Types (1 III - 2 IV)¶

• Milestone 3.1.1 Registration database established (I-3)
• Milestone 3.1.2 Registration database is fully operable (II-1)

Task 5: Community Involvement and Outreach (1 II – 3 III)¶

• Milestone 5.1 Taxon publication for inauguration of the Registration System submitted (I-3)
