~~Right Right now the dropdown for categorical states in CharacterMatrix is not scrollable which is a problem for large state lists. Also it should be alphabetically ordered.~~ ordered. As an example look at additivity test DB, taxon sericocomopsis. Filtered combo boxes could solve this problem showing only a subset of states that match the given search term. ~~Additionally, we should think about adding tooltips with the description (and also image) of the state. This may also be solved by using the faceted term search.~~ -> moved to #8254
