I created a new field unit for a specimen by doing a right click on the specimen which has no field unit yet and choosing "new field unit" specimen:

 **Problem 1:** the new field unit should be shown as root element of the specimen which is not the case here. 

 The field unit is already persisted which can been seen when opening the Specimen editor (list) in parallel. 


 The Specimen editor (tree) allows for deletion of the FieldUnit whereas the FieldUnit seems to become decoupled from the derivate before deletion. After deletion the specimen is still there.
