In the documentation the term 'window' is being used as simple and common term to refer to the various top level UI components of the Taxeditor.

 This term can be confusing though, since it usually refers to the whole application windows and not to window like sub-components in a application.
 In eclipse RCP these are named view and editor [](https://help.eclipse.org/luna/index.jsp?topic=%2Forg.eclipse.platform.doc.isv%2Freference%2Fapi%2Forg%2Feclipse%2Fjface%2Ftext%2Fsource%2FSourceViewer.html)

 Terms used in documentation for other software products:

 * Editor pane & view (oxygen - is eclipse rcp based!) Subwindow
 * Editor & tab (xmlmind)
