Another current problem related to this discussion in #5722 # 5722 would be the following use case: 1) Open an existing single read alignment in the AlignmentEditor 2) Make an edit 3) Save the AlignmentEditor 4) Export the single read alignment from the derivate view (by left-clicking on it there is selecting "export to file"). The changes made in the AlignmentEditor before will not be reflected in the exported file. (They are only, if the EDITor is restarted before exporting.)
