Also you could have an "expand to adjacent countries" if the page knows for each country what the adjacent countries are, that would be very easy and would be helpful for thinking about plants crossing in. Probably better than a alphabetical list with no geographic order though would be the option of a map you can reveal and just click on the countries you want and as you click they are selected in the list (or it highlights them on the map, but I think selecting in the list will be simplest at first as there's not much complexity to that).

wie wichtig ist das? Derzeit lässt das Datenmodell das ja noch nicht wirklich zu, da wir eigentlich nur hierarchische Strukturen abbilden. Allerdings könnte man solche Beziehungen im neuen Termmodell, was eigentlich in den wichtigsten Grundzügen schon existiert, bereits doch abbilden. Möglich wäre es also, mit nicht allzu großem Aufwand, die Suche in diese Richtung zu erweitern.
