Maybe the format will change in future:
WGB to Chuck Miller:
I see that the Tropicos Name Matching is working again – that’s nice! Our EDIT-Platform Team plans to implement an automated import function for the output format produced by name matching. Can you answer the following questions (or direct me to the person who can do so)?
I note that the request is redirected to the legacy site – will the function be the same once moved to the new site?
In particular, will the output format remain unchanged?
And do you plan to implement it as a web-service, too?

Chuck;
Here’s the answer from Paul. We don’t plan to change the output. Web service will come later on after we have the new Tropicos finished.
Paul:
At this point we have not discussed the name matching functionality of Tropicos and\or any improvements or changes. I assume that we will not change the output in a future release unless the committee or product owners decide there are needed changes. I could possibly see providing a web service and if implemented would probably be where we would implement any changes so that users of the old version do not see any adverse impact.
