How can we semantically handle characters like "partial inflorescence arrangement - distance 1st to 2nd bract"

Description

This is currently a quantitative character in Cactaceae which uses

structure: partial inflorescence
Property: arrangement
Type: quantitative

How can describe "distance 1st to 2nd bract" semantically correct in a way that it can be recognized and identified by a machine.

NoK:

für derlei Fälle habe ich in den letzten Monaten (bei Lactucinae and Centaurea) eigentlich immer eine praktikable Lösung gefunden.
Sehe da aktuell keinen Handlungsbedarf.
