WeaklyRelatedEntityCombobox is not validated

Description
WeaklyRelatedEntityComboboxes set to required are not validated on form submission.
If affects the TaxonNamePopupEditor
- Status changed from New to Resolved
- % Done changed from 0 to 50
- Assignee changed from Andreas Kohlbecker to Wolf-Henning Kusber
- Status changed from Resolved to In Progress
- Assignee changed from Wolf-Henning Kusber to Andreas Kohlbecker
- % Done changed from 50 to 40
the field should only be set on error if the user tries to save the editor or when the focus leaved the field. Otherwise it is not very user friendly to show validation errors initially.

closing issue after copying the additional requirement to a new ticket #8249. The solution for this additional requirement seems to be a bit time consuming, therefore I am postponing it this way.
