Originally reported by Ben Stöver. Had problems when creating a new database from within the taxeditor on a windows machine. Specific to this OS setup is that the user.home is on a network drive which was causing the problems described in #5848, which are most probably not related to the problem which is the subject here:

When creating a new database on C the following error occurred a number of times: "ERROR [org.hibernate.tool.hbm2ddl.SchemaExport] - Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes".
