tables seem not (yet) to be supported https://redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/RedmineTextFormattingMarkdown#Tables

The original markdown syntax actually has no syntax for tables: http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax

However, some flavours of markdown have support for tables: https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet#tables

Hey, there is support for tables in the redmine markdown https://redmine.org/issues/23341

e.g:

header FAQ List of Plugins
aaa bbb ccc

many tables have been fixed manually, so there is no more need for general action on this topic.

The above linked table has been fixed manually by adding

|-----------|----------|--------|

as separator between table header and body
