This problem also occurs in the case of the stand alone editor and occurs due to the fact that the GrantedAuthorityImply entity has a unique constraint on the authority string.
When trying to update the CRUD operations list in the authority string, a new authority string is created and an attempt is made to save this authority. If the authority string already exists then the exception is thrown.
There are two potential ways to solve the problem,
remove the unique constraint on authority, in which case we will have a number of repeated authority strings in the GrantedAuthorityImpl table.
add a service method call to check if an existing authority string exists and return the corresponding GrantedAuthorityImpl object, update the authority string in the returned object and save.
We need to decide which strategy to follow.

added a check for existence of all authority strings and replace the already existing ones with the ones already in db.
There are some more smaller bugs in the handling of granted authorities which are fixed now:
when creating a new grantedAuthority in selection dialog which is already in database -> constraint violation exception
when choosing another granted authority in details view the granted authority was not replaced with the choosen one.
