It is in the first window, there it was I only reactivate it, may be we want to move it. But there are some places, all not really perfect:

search, but this part actually covers only the selection dialogs
taxa, but the search also covers names and common names
UI?

It was on top level before we cleaned-up the preferences. I think we should put it to search. At least that was the first place that I was searching it. I guess, for now we can put it to the top level search preference which is currently still empty.

After activating the preference a new window is not opened after running the search a second time.
