Windows XP and older Systems

  1. Click on the Windows Start button at the bottom left of your computer screen (on newer systems you may only have an untitled Windows icon).
  2. Select the Search button; a new pop-up box will appear.
  3. Select Search All Files and Folders; a new pop-up box will appear.
  4. Select the locations on your computer that you would like to search.
  5. In the search bar at the left hand side of the box enter .cdmLibrary.
  6. Click the Run Search button.
    The search will be carried out and the results will be shown in the main panel of the pop-up box. The search will return a list of matching results. There should only be one folder called “cdm.Library”.
  7. Within the panel of the search box, click the cdm.Library folder once.
  8. Press Delete on the keyboard.
    A pop-up box will appear asking “do you really want to delete this folder”.
  9. Press Enter on the keyboard to confirm.
    The .cdmLibrary folder will be deleted.

You can now delete the shortcut from your desktop: click on the shortcut, press the delete button on the keyboard; a pop-up will ask you to confirm the deletion; click the OK button.
