There is a variety of types of descriptive data that can be added to a taxon (shown below). If you do not need to use all of these kinds of data you can remove the available descriptive data types via the Preferences menu as explained in Show/Hide Options of Drop-Down Menus on page 30. Due to the variety of data types available, examples will be given here rather than instructions specific to every data type.
