4 A description tree must first be created for the taxon; see the section above.
7 1. Point the mouse cursor at the entry in the
<strong>Descriptive panel

10 2. Press the right-hand mouse button; a menu will appear.

</strong>” option in the menu; a drop-down menu of all available descriptive data types will

21 Click on the descriptive data type that you wish to enter for the taxon, for example
“Common Name
”; the data type will be added to the
<strong>Description Tree
</strong> and its specific data entry box will be activated in the
<strong> Details
</strong> panel:

28 A customised Descriptive Tree consisting of different description types can be created in this way. As stated previously the format of the types of
29 descriptive data varies; for some the data is input as free text but for others data must be chosen from options given in a drop-down menu. Therefore
