WP 5.7 Certification Authorities

In order to offer secure services, EDIT WP 5.7 (Security Components?) is running a trust center for EDIT internal purposes. Meanwhile, management of web server certificates for the official EDIT domain e-taxonomy.eu has moved to the certification authority of Freie Universität Berlin (FUB-CA). Thus, the EDIT WP 5.7 certification authority is used for development purposes only. Nevertheless, it could be used for other EDIT services whenever necessary.

EDIT WP 5.7 RootCA

The EDIT WP 5.7 RootCA consists of a single, self-signed certificate, which is used to certify so called Registration Authorities(RAs), which are enabled to issue certificates e.g. for servers, services or users.
